A self-employed photographer, Corky Smith is comfortable living a carefree lifestyle. She drives a clunker and pays expenses with cash, but the scenery is always changing and she likes it that way.
Until she meets Daxton Jones in Silver Rock.
Robbed while staying at Bainbridge Lodge, Daxton is understandably furious. Taking pity on him, Corky offers him a lift out of town. However, it’s the Blizzard Belt, and it doesn’t take long before a winter storm catches up with them. Taking shelter at a local B&B is their only option.
Penniless and unable to contact family, Daxton earns his keep by the sweat of his brow. During their stay, Corky and Daxton form an attachment, one with a happily-ever-after in the forecast.
