Blast jumping to a destination further than they’ve ever traveled before, Abigail, her brother, and their crew journey to Earth sixty-six million years in the past with plans to right some of Zagheart’s mistakes and misdeeds and collect dinosaur eggs to populate Eliot’s island.

After they nearly die testing the ship and train for the mission, the crew arrives on prehistoric Earth. While tromping through the exotically lush landscape, Abigail worries that with every step they take, they may accidentally alter the future of the planet, which will be inhabited by friends, family, and billions of humans. Beholding the sight of the majestic animals who dominate the world helps ease her concerns, but the creatures present dangers of their own, which she initially and regretfully underestimates. Meanwhile, a massive asteroid is heading their way to clear the slate for future development on the planet that will eventually become home to the present-day human civilization.

As they leap from one event to the next, attempting to save those who died as pawns in Zagheart’s master plan, they push their ship’s power core to its limit, causing irreparable damage. Time is ticking, an asteroid is coming to wipe out most of the life on the planet, and Abigail, her brother, and their friends are stranded in a broken timeship. Their final quest is to replace the ship’s power core so they can return home to a world they hope hasn’t been disrupted by the mistakes they made in the distant past.

A note to new readers: The author worked with his developmental editor (who had not read the previous trilogy) to shape this novel into a story that could be read before the others if you prefer to enter the series later and read a time-travel story. The preexisting novels may be read as a prequel trilogy.
