Binding the Unstable Element

A man before God’s intervention is merely buried and drowned in the lusts and temptations of this world. For the “wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.” However, dryland appears or is raised to bind and set a limit for the unstable element. Where once before the creature saturated by the barren seas of lust and tossed about by uncontrollable currents of cravings, now is brought to a place of stability. Our will (the decision center of our soul) which was lost is lifted up above our carnality and passions so that it might become fruitful and prosperous.
