I share about the physical and mental abuse I endured during my entire childhood, as well as the molestation from a family member, from age nine to eleven.
I explain how I buried all of the pain under many layers of shame and I drowned all of the memories in alcohol and drugs.
I pretended to be an outgoing and fun person, but hid under laughter, while entertaining my friends and family when I really was dying inside.
I talk about the journey that I had ahead of myself, in order to be freed from this invisible prison that I created from all of the trauma I endured. I explain to you, how I went from brokeness to breakthrough. I found peace, and overcame the demons that held me back in life. That's how the title of this book became Beyond the Demons.
