In Deuteronomy 30:11–19, the bible quotes God as saying, “Surely, this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too hard for you, nor is it too far away… I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God... then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you. But if your heart turns away and you do not hear… and you bow down to other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall perish… I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live…” As we go through life we are faced with choices to make. Those choices become our responsibility to God. He gave us freedom of choice and we are held accountable for those choices in either this life or after-life. If you believe that after our time on earth has ended that we may have a last chance so-to-speak, to reconcile our bad choices, then ‘Beyond The Shrouded Mountain’ will give you a look at a possibility that may be presented. The author wrote this book in 1980 but it was never published. His son YoHanan, a writer in his own right, dusted off the old 500 page manuscript that had been typed on an old Royal typewriter, and he restored it. Very, very, little was changed except for adding a preface and an additional chapter to include some of the details of YoHanan’s own story about a 40-Day fast he completed where God referred to his fathers book ‘Beyond the Shrouded Mountain’ as a part of his journey. ‘Beyond the Shrouded Mountain’ is a story of the consequences of choices we make in regard to good and evil. God has given us a rulebook to follow and when we choose to follow our own way instead of His, the day will come when we must make amends. Follow a story of a man and his father who try desperately to help the poor souls who have lost and still looking for their way.
