Kate awakens from another horrible dream. Since the terrible auto accident she has been having regular nightly dreams about a serial killer. Dreams that show him killing his female victims in a strange ritual grounded in his childhood memories. So vivid are the dreams that Kate can accurately journal the events as well as draw detailed pictures of the victims and the locations where the dreams happen.
Not knowing if these dreams are real her friends introduce Kate to a famous psychologist Brooks Kincade. Brooks' is a university professor who only takes unique cases and often works with the FBI in achieving their solutions. Brooks and his special team agree to help Kate and the whirlwind mystery moves to a fast pace with many twist and turns of events. The action takes them to grave sites in a nearby state park and to the forgotten underground shopping area in historic Gettysburg. The area dates back before the Civil War but now deserted and suffering from partial cave-ins and neglect. The action also continues in the battlefield itself. The over hanging question lingers, did the transplants Kate received from injuries in the auto accident influence these vivid dreams?
