Sixteen-year-old Eliza O'Neill has always kept a secret from her family and friends, never telling anyone what she is truly capable of. She attributes her actions to luck, being at the right place at the right time. Deep down, she knows the power within is something beyond her control. Her entire body goes on autopilot by an insatiable impulse with a life of its own whenever someone is in peril. It has been there for as long as she can remember, and the older she gets the stronger the pull. All she ever wanted was to be an ordinary girl, but a life of normalcy seems suddenly out of reach.

Where does Beyond Aegis rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
As a passionate reader of fantasy novels, it's nice to come across a book like this one. Great story, intriguing characters and a lot of action. It's clear from page one that the protagonist, Eliza, is aware of her abilities. What did you like best about this story?
She's fearless, tough, one of my favorite female POVs out there. It kept me very interested in what was going on and kept me trying to guess what was to come. All and all, a very enjoyable book. Two thumbs up!Amazing!!!

What made the experience of listening to Beyond Aegis the most enjoyable?
What struck me the most was the overall transformation from start to end. As the story unfolds it becomes evident that there's something brewing just below the surface. The seemingly random character interactions and chance encounters all gradually take their place in the bigger picture. What was one of the most memorable moments of Beyond Aegis?
I don't want to give anything away, but near the midpoint we're let in on an important story element of which the Liz is not aware. This is interesting because the book is actually written in first person. From then on, we have a bit of a head start on the main character. So, while she's clinging to what little normalcy she can hang on to, her fate seems to be pushing in the opposite direction.Any additional comments?
It's a bit long, but the pacing is just right. The cliffhangers, laughs and curve balls here and there were enough to keep me engaged to the finale.Above and Beyond
