For 32 years, Charles Douglas "Doug" Oudin lived a fantasy life on this secluded oasis. As the former harbormaster, he saw it all: harrowing storms, dramatic ocean rescues, traumatic accidents, and the tragic death of actress Natalie Wood.

Amazing view into the spirit and soul of Catalina Island and Two Harbors
The narration by Eric Burr was phenomenal. I’ll be looking out for his future work! Every line he delivered was done so with care, effort, and practice.
Doug’s story of his life in Two Harbors was very well told and gave me a deeper insight into the people who make this place so special. I try to get to the isthmus at least twice a year and this book helped to bring me back when I wasn’t able to physically. Thanks to Doug for writing this fantastic memoir and I look forward to reading his other book next.
