From bestselling, award-winning author Robin Lee Hatcher comes a poignant historical romance of second chances, redemption, and unexpected love.
"Whenever I want to fall in love again, I pick up a Robin Lee Hatcher novel." --Francine Rivers, New York Times bestselling author
Hugh Brennan knows betrayal too well. A drifter hardened by loss, he's given up on the idea of a home--until he finds himself drawn to Julia Grace, a resilient widow struggling to protect her Wyoming ranch from her late husband's ruthless half-brother.
Julia has every reason to keep her guard up, especially around men. Yet something about Hugh's quiet strength begins to thaw the walls she's built. When their shared wounds and guarded hearts threaten to keep them apart, both must learn to trust a love greater than their pain.
Set against the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains, Betrayal is a captivating tale of healing and hope--the second installment in the Where the Heart Lives series, but the books can be read in any order.

Would you listen to Betrayal again? Why?
I've already listened to Betrayal twice. It makes me feel hopeful. What was one of the most memorable moments of Betrayal?
What I remember the most is when Hugh first told Julia he loved her. I almost cried.Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was when Julia and Hugh were at her place of worship, and he decided to reenact the children's story he used to read to his sisters. It made me laugh. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The moments of prayer seemed to move me the most, and the quoting of scripture.Any additional comments?
I fully expect to listen to Betrayal again. It will always be a source of strength and encouragement for me. Thankfully it will always be with me as long as I have my faithful Kindle! All inspiring and romantic.

Again Robin brings joy in my heart by her storytelling and Laurel did a perfect job with her narration. Now on to the third and final book of the series

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Not listing to it.Would you be willing to try another book from Robin Lee Hatcher? Why or why not?
Never in audio.Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Laural Merlington?
IrrelevantIf you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Betrayal?
In audio format, all but the last chapterAny additional comments?
i enjoy reading Ms Hatcher's novels but this is a novel not meant for audio. The plot and pace of novel are too slow. I fell asleep listing to it. The only way to get through it, is to skip chapters. Read it, don't listen to it.A cure for insomnia
