In 20 minutes, this book will teach you how to become more likeable in court; unlikeable people don’t win court cases. Unlikeable people are driven off by the court personnel and by the ex. You must make other people care what happens to you and be invested in your success. You need to pay attention to what matters to be successful in and out of the courtroom, and now is a critical time to do just that.

This book refers to the narcissist as a "he", but the narcissist in relationship and divorce proceedings can also be a "she". The pronouns are interchangeable for the purposes of this book.

Mirror and mimic.

One important thing you can do to be likeable to anyone, especially the court personnel, is to mimic and mirror the people who are around you. People like to be around like-minded people. It is human nature to reject anything that is foreign to us. We automatically see other people as being on our side if they talk, walk, smile, behave, and communicate like us.

Mimic the judge and lawyer’s movements, communication style, and facial expressions. Mimic their emotions. Rather than wearing your heart on your sleeve, make sure that you are matching the mood of the individuals around you.

This is a very short and straightforward listen. Brings you back to the basics of how you should act and remember how to act when in court. Helps you focus so you cut out all emotion from court issues.

Excellent Description

This book is highly accurate. It’s a sad truth.
Everything he said I’ve experienced. I wish I would’ve heard this prior to my 1st appearance b4 the court.
I wish he would’ve discussed a way to rectify “mistakes”that he warns you not to make. Is there a way to rectify your “poor behavior” once you have displayed what the court perceives as negative?

Some Good Advice

Some of the information is good. I thought the book was very biased towards the female. This is exactly what is wrong in the courtroom today…judges & lawyers are always FOR the mother & against the father. Maybe write a book that says he/she instead of always trying to portray that the father is the bad guy. I have lost all faith in the court system. I am married to an amazing man who has a son & it’s a constant battle. Things could be so easy if people would put their emotions to the side & do what is right for the child instead of trying to bury the parent with debt. Ridiculous.

nothing that is generally known

I was looking for tips on testifying in court, under oath, and this book seems to tell you to be nice to the court, don't be disruptive, and read other books that go into more detail.

it was read very well, and for the price, you may get something out of it, but it wasn't anything i didn't already know.
