Please bring back the narrator who performed "Tempting Tanya." I am thrilled Audible chose to continue with the series, but let's be real, virtual voice doesn't do this series justice.

This story illustrates the layers of complexities that make people prejudice, egotistical, and/or reluctant to EXPLORE new adventures
Nevertheless, it is full of innuendos and tropes that insults Black American females. From the annoying AI generated virtual voice that made several mistakes like Simone/Simon to the stereotypical angry Black woman and of course to the knight in shining armor man,

Most romance novels glorify the female. In this piece Betty was downright annoying. Food and being bitter seemed to her primary concerns. Most women at her age have it together. This one intentionally demeans the female character. There are many examples for instance during the portrait sitting she should have wore a Victorian sheer robe Like the author did for “Bill”.

The story has merit but is overshadowed by the innuendos and tropes

Storyline

It was a great storyline, but I'm not fond of virtual voice narration. It leaves a lot to be desired.

Waste of time

Not a good story. Black FMC was just bitter and really unlikable. I am the love interest was kind of clueless. No black women wants a white man she has to teach. No it’s exhausting. Over all this book, gets a hard pass.
