The first covenant established by God is the marriage covenant between one man and one woman for life. It is found in Genesis 2:24. It establishes a pattern of God desiring to find his son a virgin bride. It is his reward for overcoming the cross.
The Old Testament is littered with Gentile brides married to Jewish believers in God’s plan of redemption. These brides are how a professing Christian should view their current predicament. God has been seeking a Gentile bride for his son, Jesus Christ for 2,000 years and counting.
The Bible uses the prose of Levirite marriage to describe how God sends the comforter into an extremely pagan world, for the purpose of finding those special believers who would forgo earthly desires, and have Jesus Christ become the pearl of great price. He paid the dowry on Calvary for you to become his virgin bride eagerly awaiting his return to receive you unto himself.
Jesus Christ dictates seven letters to seven churches, established by John the Revelator prior to his imprisonment on the Island of Patmos under Emperor Domitian. These churches differentiate between the bride of Christ and the body of Christ. Their destinies are different, and that alarms most professing Christians.
This book describes a twenty-eight-year relationship with Jesus Christ as I began to rely solely on God’s word for all things dealing with Jesus Christ. The revelation given to John is the unveiling of the bride of Christ from within the body. It is the unveiling of Jesus Christ as God!
Becoming the bride of Christ requires we lose all religious pre-suppositions, enter the word of God daily, submit to Jesus Christ as sole Lord over our lives, and eagerly await the return of our Messiah.
He is returning for a virgin bride very soon. Is your lamp trimmed? Have you settled it in your heart that Jesus Christ alone can pay the only debt that matters when we die, our sin debt to God as the creator?
You are on the road to becoming the bride of Christ. Enjoy this prophetic unction from behind the veil of eternity….
He was crucified upon a cross of wood, yet he created the hill upon which it stood! He is alive forevermore, and he is returning for his bride soon.
The road goes on forever, and the party never ends.
