Build a harem and save the earth.
One of my favorite King series.
Archeology student bonds with an ancient magical talisman and becomes the beast master. He needs to build a harem and give them powers, as well as get powers from them, and kick Atlantean butt.
Great series.

The whole “alpha, prime” is too much like a insecure 12 year old and less a powerful being. Got to the point I couldn’t suffer through for the sake of the story.
