They nearly check into accommodations six feet under when, en route to the crime scene, their brakes give out and they narrowly miss plunging over the cliffs to the beach below. Meanwhile, the merry ghost who haunts the inn tries to help by dropping clues for Melanie to find, but her mind is otherwise preoccupied when the killer kidnaps Liza and holds her prisoner.

Can’t get past the Grandmother

This could be an enjoyable easy listen. However, the Grandmother makes me crazy. The voice the over played attitude and reactions just ruin it for me. Made it through one of these but I am never going to know “who done it” one this one.

Another hit!

This series so far has been super fun! I can't stop listening! The little twists and turns are fun. I strongly urge you to listen!

Comfy Cozy

These stories are well-plotted. They are also a comfortable read/ listen, with likeable characters and interesting subplots. Interspersed are occasional soppy threads, but, overall, these are interesting and pleasurable reads/ listens. The narrator maintains consistent and interesting character voices throughout the series.

Great Cozy Mystery

Kate Kingsbury is a great storyteller. This is the third in her series and you never know who the killer is going to turn out to be. I will definitely be reading more of her books!

I enjoy the series. A fun and light hearted mystery. I love the characters.

Fun and Entertaining

Very enjoyable tale of trial and tribulations of grandma and granddaughter and the mystery of the ghost. Recommended.

great listen

This story fun and interesting. However the Grandmother was more than a bit annoying about investigating the crime. Melanie should be more in control especially after the car accident. BUT I do hope there will be more books in this series as there can be so many more fun stories ahead. Again narration was excellent.

Incorrigible

They solve the mystery, but can’t seem to learn from past mistakes. “Until we have proof”, seems to be their mantra. They are continuously surprised when the murderer seems intent on killing them.

Fun

Enjoyable mystery set on the Oregon coast. Likable characters, neat finish. Looking forward to reading additional titles in the series.

Really liking this series

I have really enjoyed this series of cozy mysteries. And I have really liked the characters even Liza up until this book. This book she really got on my nerves she turned into a bossy, demanding, insistent old bitty Even after she got Max kidnapped and them almost killed in a car accident she wouldn't stop and I just kept hoping someone would shake some sense into her or smack her one.
