Acerca de esta escucha
Madame Bathory was a demon. A nightmare. A story told throughout the years to ensure the obedience of children refusing their bedtimes. She was a monster who masqueraded as human, bathing in the blood of the innocent to keep her disguise until the righteous trapped her within the walls of her own castle… a sentence passed for crimes she felt no remorse for. Bathory was gone. A bad memory.
It’s funny how memories can resurface.
And so I did.
Waking in the rubble of my castle prison, I found all had changed. All but the hunger. I was free to begin again. To feed. A lifetime of roaming to sate my appetites. And where better to begin anew, but in the city that never sleeps? Only this time, I’m the warden of this concrete prison and beneath these concrete monoliths of sin and vice, I will rule again.

So much
I would like to start by saying there are some triggers in this book but not listed I’ll try to list as many as I can at the end. It’s for sure a dark book I wouldn’t say dark romance as there is some spicy parts but it’s not the plot of the book. This was a good story I really enjoyed it. There were several twist that kept me guessing what would happen next. You can see some character growth as the story goes on. I love how Everly Woods reads the FMC the most out of this book and makes Elizabeth (FMC) sound like she really does come from her background of nobility. She also does an amazing job of making each character have their own voice and not sounding like each other so that you know who is talking.
Some of these may be spoilers
Triggers: Murder, death of child, kidnapping, arson, consumption of blood, cheating, lying
