The term "burned alive" took on a whole different meaning for me when I had to run through a wall of flames to escape my burning bedroom, which left me in a burn ward with third-degree burns over 30 percent of my body.
Before that day, thinking of being burned alive would have brought images of pain, seeing it as a tragedy or accident and something to avoid at all costs.
Now that I have experienced being literally burned alive, I see it in a totally different light, and I am more alive than I ever would have been had the fire not blazed through my inner demons.
This audiobook is much more than a memoir of literally dying and coming back to life in a burn ward.
