Shelter for Elizabeth
Ever since Beth was saved from a serial killer, she has slowly been finding her way back to the land of the living. After relocating to Texas and becoming besties with Penelope, she trained her self on computers and loves challenging her hacking skills. What she hasn’t been able to totally conquer was her agoraphobia. When she spas a small mishap at home she meets Penelope’s brother, Sledge and they hit it off. Things are moving slow for both of them. Beth has some coping mechanisms that directly interfere with Sledge’s ability to understand. When a misunderstanding occurs, they will need lots of outside help to bring them back together. I enjoyed the book and seeing Beth get better, but not necessarily “cured”.

Justice for Boone
Wow! A story around men who suffer from abuse. How expertly done. Boone was such a man’s man and watching him see Hayden for who she is, the woman behind the badge was awesome. We got to see Hayden show of her femininity and bring it to life even if she is “one of the guys”. She got Boone to understand that there is a difference between protecting yourself and beating on a woman, She carries herself with such self assured confidence, it was great to see the origin to her story.

Shelter for Adeline
Adeline is an epileptic and when her service dog alerts to an upcoming seizure, she’s fortunate that firefighter, Crash is nearby and helps immediately. The attraction between them is quick and their blossoming romance is only hampered by her awful boss and the increase of seizures she’s starting to have. When danger lurks, Crash and his friends will stop at nothing to make sure she’s safe and in his arms.
Great story.

Shelter for Sophie
Sophie is awesome. She may stutter, but she is the kindest, sweetest person you’ll ever meet. Through her work at the hospital, she has befriended the homeless people who live in the abandoned property next to the hospital. She helps underserved patients get the much needed treatment. She is simply too sweet, that is until Chief eavesdrops on a conversation and gets it all wrong. He makes unfounded accusations about Sophie and she lets him have it. She may be sweet, but she’s no pushover. When Chief finds out how wrong he was, figures out what we all know about Sophie and sets out to make her his. He shares his family history with her and helps her to understand him better. When she is in danger, he’ll need his friends and the help of his ancestors to save her.
Loved Sophie’s story and learning so much about Chief’s Native American upbringing.
