Interesting and complex

Jodi Taylor is currently writing four series, and I am reading every one of them. All her books contain the best in snarky humor and sarcasm. Ms. Taylor's characters are both endearing and likable, making the reader wish they were real, so that they could spend more time with them.

Of all of Ms. Taylor's series, I find the Elizabeth Cage series the most complex and different. While it contains interesting and likable characters, humor, and excitement, it is also dark, containing horrors and evil.

While my least favorite of all Ms. Taylor's series, Elizabeth Cage still achieves 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 stars, and when compared to most books I read, it far outshines the majority of them. Zara Ramm is one of my favorite narrators, and I love her storytelling.

It had been almost four years since I read Long Shadows, and I was forced to reread it to refresh my memory. Bad Moon was exciting, funny, and complex. I eagerly await the next installment as I want to know what happens next.

Funny and Exciting Read

The humor and the character development are very strong but the book goes on a little long. Perhaps there was one too many story plots included. It almost seemed like two shorter books could come grime this one novel.

I liked everything. Perfect story! love the narrator in all her performances. Great for listening while I drive.

Zara Ramm is the best!

Zara Ramm is my favorite voice actor. Period. Brava!!
The characters are a lot of fun, but the Cage stories are a little over the top for my taste. Paranormal, occult, old gods and demigods — very tough to navigate the waters of “believability” vs. “consistent execution within that alternate reality.” Having supporting characters pop up with just the right thing at the right time to manage a narrow escape gets old fast.
Even so, I LOVE Jodi Taylor’s writing and will continue to buy and re-read every single one. (Audio, then text.)

This series gets better with every book. Can’t wait for the next one!

Good edition to series

Outstanding follow on most of Elizabeth Cages story. I love this set of characters and story.

Fun addition.

This is another fun book by Ms Taylor and beautifully read by Ms Rahm. I loved it and thanks to both for another fun read!

Absolutely fantastic!

Jodi Taylor just keeps getting better and better! I only wish she could write faster!!! The entire Elizabeth Cage series and spellbindingly magnificent.
If you like magic, mythology, strange fiction, OR NOT, this book is for you. It’s really that great!!!

Fabulous

Couldn’t stop listening but never want them to end. The characters are all wonderful the storyline always fantastical but gripping and the humor perfect. Zara Ramm is my favorite narrator. I hope there are more to come.
