Babou, a 10 year old girl, loved listening to tales of monsters and werewolves told by Suzette, her grandmother's old maid. But, one night, after a frightening session, before going to bed, she waved at her shadow after Suzette had told her not to. She said that if she did so...her shadow would come and get her in her sleep and bring her to the dream-maker of all nightmares.
But Babou, the little rebel that she is, did not listen. She fooled around and waved, and waved, and waved while her cousins, Christelle and Jean-Olivier looked at her with admiration. She thought Suzette exaggerated the story to scare her.
But, later on, that night, Babou received a strange visit.
How is our little friend going to get out of it?
