When Chloe Mayweather escapes her mother’s overbearing coven and opens The Enchanted Spoon in the picturesque town of Belmont Falls, she’s determined to keep her magic under wraps. A fresh start. A quiet life. Zero spells.
But on opening day, her powers spiral out of control—and her secret literally explodes into the arms of a rugged local carpenter with secrets of his own.
Brad Burop didn’t expect to rescue a red-haired beauty from a falling ladder, flying teacups, and a magical meltdown. But once he sees the woman behind the whirlwind, he can’t walk away—even when Chloe’s past comes calling in the form of a dangerous witch with a taste for power.
Now Chloe must choose between hiding her magic to protect her new life… or embracing it to save everything she’s come to love.
Perfect for fans of Practical Magic and The Ex Hex, this enchanting small-town romance is steeped in slow-burn tension, autumn magic, and a touch of danger.

This is a good book and the voice is a good fit for it. enjoy the cozy paranormal genre and hate virtual voice. I am happily surprised by both this author and how the book sounds. I am going to try another by this author and hood is at good.

Then numerous times throughout the book Brad acts like he has no idea that she’s a witch, but just dealing with witchy things around her, now halfway through the book they’re at the fall harvest, dinner, and dance, and suddenly it’s a main confrontation between them where he confronted her again about witchy things and she tells him again yes, I am a witch…
It’s very inconsistent almost like it wasn’t planned for her to tell him that she was a witch in the beginning. It wasn’t planned for him to help with any of the witchy stuff and he wasn’t supposed to know that she was a witch until later in the book, but they needed his help in too many other places so it’s just been very inconsistent….
