There has been no information provided about the ramifications for the soldier who desecrated the original. We do know that an internal military investigation found that several Israeli soldiers were involved in the desecration. President Donald Trump announced just hours before the U.S.-Iran ceasefire expired that he would extend the agreement in order to give the “seriously fractured” Iranian government more time to present a unified proposal. Pope Leo XIV continues his visit to Equatorial Guinea today, the final stop in his apostolic visit to Africa.
