When It Feels Like Only Certain Moments Count as Faith
Sometimes the moments
that feel the most ordinary—
time spent talking,
sharing a meal,
just being with people—
can feel like they don’t quite count.
Like faith is something
that happens somewhere else—
in prayer,
in worship,
in study.
And we can start to believe
that’s what really counts—
and everything else
is secondary.
“Day by day, as they spent much time together… praising God and having the goodwill of all the people.” (from Acts 2:46–47)
But in Acts,
what it meant to live faithfully
wasn’t limited to formal gatherings.
They spent time together,
shared meals,
and lived alongside one another day by day.
And in that ordinary rhythm,
they learned how to live together.
