SiriusXM Morning Skate with Scott Laughlin, Gord Stellick & Tyler Madarasz
The penultimate night of the regular season had plenty of fireworks across the league. The Vegas Golden Knights locked down first place in the Pacific Division with a 4–1 win over the Seattle Kraken, setting up a first-round matchup against Mammoth in the Western Conference playoffs. Around the league, standout performances fueled high-scoring games and dramatic finishes: Tye Kartye scored two goals to lead the Rangers past the Lightning, while the Panthers exploded for eight goals in a dominant win over the Red Wings, highlighted by Luke Kunin’s two-goal, one-assist night and Mike Benning’s first two NHL goals. The Senators handed the Maple Leafs their seventh straight loss, and the Blackhawks stormed back with five unanswered goals to defeat the Sharks. In Buffalo, Wyatt Johnston sealed a thrilling shootout victory for the Dallas Stars, scoring the decisive goal in the fourth round to edge the Sabres 4–3.
