Abel the Righteous (Rev. Dr. Stephen N. Gapson)

In “Abel the Righteous,” Rev. Dr. Stephen teaches from Genesis and Hebrews that Abel is called righteous not because of works alone, but because of faith expressed through his offering. Abel understood God’s way and approached Him with a sacrifice that aligned with divine instruction, showing that righteousness is revealed through faith, obedience, and right understanding of God. His offering spoke of relationship and revelation, not mere ritual, and God testified of his righteousness because of it.
