I greet you in Jesus’ precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 16th of April, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today.
We start in the Book of Romans 10:12-13:
“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
The Lord has no favourites. I have already told you that before.
There is a most beautiful song, and it is called “Who am I?” by Casting Crowns, and these are the words. I want to read them to you this morning, and then I am going to pray for you because I feel that there is somebody there who feels that they are a failure, that there is no hope for them, that they have messed up and that this is the end of the road. Not at all! It is a lie from the pit of hell. Listen to these words:
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
would care to know my name?
Would care to feel my hurt?
Who am I, that the bright and morning star
would choose to light the way
For my ever-wandering heart?
Not because of who I am
But because of what you've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who you are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapour in the wind
Still you hear me when I'm calling
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling
And you've told me who I am
I am yours…
And it goes on but that is enough.
Father,
I want to pray for my dear friends today. Lord, there are many listening to this message - who have thrown the towel in, who are down and out - no, not at all. Stand up, woman of God, stand up, man of God.
Lord, please today remind them that You love them, just because of who they are, and Lord, we repent today of anything we have done to offend You, to hurt You. Lord, we love You, we ask You to come back into our hearts afresh this very morning. I ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.
Have a wonderful, blessed day and remember you are so very special to God.
Goodbye.
