Dan McGuire, a Chicago construction boss, takes his family on an RV trip to the Black Hills to reconnect. However, the vacation turns tragic when his daughter’s new puppy, Molly, wanders off and is swept away by a fast-flowing stream. While the heartbroken family returns to Chicago assuming the worst, Molly is rescued by the leader of the “Pistons” motorcycle gang, Joe Watts, while passing through the Black Hills en route to the biker rally in Sturgis.

While riding through the streets of Sturgis, Joe sees a little girl holding a puppy, reminding him of the time when his own estranged daughter, Tiffany, lost her dog, and he did nothing to help her. Seeking redemption, Joe resolves to reunite Molly with her family, armed with only one clue: the name "Wall Drug" on the dog's pink collar.
