The guards responsible for monitoring Epstein, including Tova Noel and Michael Thomas, admitted to fabricating logs and failing to conduct required rounds, effectively destroying the reliability of the timeline used to explain his death. At the same time, Epstein—arguably the highest-risk inmate in federal custody—was left alone without a cellmate after being removed from suicide watch, despite clear warning signs.
