Why does God seem silent about our prayers sometimes? Or evil seems to be reigning, and God seems to be absent? Is God not interested in these things that seem to be happening? Is it possible for God to be present in every situation, or to have all our prayers answered?
In this message titled “Prayer (According to His Will)," Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches that effective prayer is not about asking for what we want, but aligning our desires and motives with God’s will. While our requests may seem right on the surface, unanswered prayers often stem from misaligned intentions, rather than God’s unwillingness. God is always willing. True prayer, therefore, requires self-examination, repentance, and surrender, allowing us to become vessels through which God’s purposes are fulfilled rather than pursuing personal ambitions.
Pastor Walter emphasizes that God’s blessings are purpose-driven and that cooperation with His will is essential for their manifestation. He also explains that suffering and evil are not God’s desire, but are permitted through human free will, making alignment with Him even more important. With a call to embrace a servant’s heart, may this message challenge you to pray rightly, live surrendered, and actively participate in fulfilling God’s will on earth.
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
Key Scripture: 1 John 5:14–15 (KJV)
