How do the Dead End Kids manage to make a living despite their innumerable times they renamed themselves?

Would they had benefitted from having RKO Pictures and Hal Roach take over their distribution instead of Warner Bros.?

Are they still rather liked or are they often associated as a Little Rascals knock-off still to this day?
