In my kitchen this week I am joined by Anne Sophie Flury who is a neuroscientist to talk all about brain health, how to re-wire your brain, and simple, practical things you can do to stimulate your brain and become your most proactive and productive self.
I love talking about brain health, but in this episode we take a slightly different approach. Rather than focusing on supplements or quick fixes to optimise your brain, this conversation is all about the everyday actions and habits that truly make a difference. The small shifts that, over time, can completely transform the way you think, feel, and show up in your life.
We dive into why brain health is so important, not just for focus or productivity, but for your overall sense of control and wellbeing. Because when you are in control of your thoughts, you are ultimately in control of your actions… and that shapes your future and your destiny.
This episode really hit home for me and honestly shocked me on many fronts. It challenged a lot of the ways I think about productivity and what it actually means to use our brains well in today’s world.
We discuss topics such as the power of monotasking over multitasking, how constant stimulation (especially from AI and technology) may actually be leaving our brains under-stimulated, and why the lost art of being bored might be exactly what your brain needs to reset, grow, and optimise.
This is a conversation that will make you rethink your habits and hopefully inspire you to make small but powerful changes to support your brain health long-term.
Topics we discuss:
- What it means to train your brain
- Mono-tasking over multi-tasking
- Constant stimulation and how that impacts our brain
- The rise in AI and the impact on the brain
- Sleep and the impact on our brain
- Monks and their practices
- How to re-wire your brain
