The Wilderness of Ren

Two pre-grown kids one male one female are made to go out into the wilderness by the elders of their tribe. Will they survive the trials and tribulations they must face or will they die like so many others before them. Travel with Yani and Estra as they face these trials in order to be declared adults.
Along the way they make friends and allies, some four legged and some human. Their best friend is named Hero and his not human he is a four legged wild creature that attaches himself to Yani and Estra.
Hero is indeed a hero, he is built like a wolf, but as large as a buffalo. He saves his friends on more than one occasion. He is joined by Skye a birdlike creature with a wingspan the size of a large plane.
