With a growing trend of "exposure" or calling of those with influence and responsibilities into account, it seems that there is also a growing trend of dismissing any attempt of questioning leaders in the body as "gossip" and "slander". Or worse, classifying those whistle blowers as "accusers of the brethren". But, what does that actually mean? What actually classifies as "gossip"? What exactly is "slander"? And, if someone challenges those in positions of influence and authority, are they indeed "accusers of the brethren"?
