Preacher: Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Okronipa

SCRIPTURES
  • Matthew 21:9 (Hosanna – Save us now)

  • John 1:29 (The Lamb of God)

  • Isaiah 53:5

  • John 19:30

  • Luke 22:19

  • Matthew 26:14–16

KEY POINTS 1. Jesus the Messiah – The Saviour Has Come
  • The celebration of Jesus was a sign that He is the Messiah.

  • “Hosanna” means Save us now.

  • Jesus came to give:

    • Peace

    • Salvation

    • Restoration

  • Jesus came for:

    • Deliverance from sin

    • Eternal restoration

    • Transformation of the soul

  • Jesus is the Saviour of our souls.

2. The Finished Work of Salvation
  • Jesus paid the full price for our redemption.

  • We do not need to pay again.

📖 John 19:30 — “It is finished.”

  • Because of His sacrifice:

    • We can claim everything salvation provides

    • We have access to grace, freedom, and new life

3. Jesus the Lamb (Sacrifice)
  • Jesus is the Lamb of God.

  • The Lamb represents:

    • Sacrifice

    • Vulnerability

    • Divine selection

📖 John 1:29

  • Jesus was chosen by God to be sacrificed for humanity.

4. The Breaking of His Body
  • The breaking of Jesus’ body was for our sake.

📖 Luke 22:19

  • His suffering brought:

    • Healing

    • Redemption

    • Restoration

5. The Danger of Betrayal
  • Wherever betrayal is present, Satan is involved.

  • Judas is often blamed, but many believers also betray Jesus through:

    • Wrong choices

    • Compromise

    • Personal gain

  • Betrayal causes a person to lose spiritual quality and integrity.

6. The Call to Spiritual Persistence
  • Sometimes one prayer is not enough.

  • You must continue praying persistently.

  • Breakthrough requires:

    • Consistency

    • Endurance

    • Spiritual hunger

CONCLUSION

Jesus is the Messiah who came to save, restore, and transform lives.

He paid the full price, so we can live in freedom and victory.

However:

  • We must guard against betrayal

  • We must remain committed to Him

  • We must persist in prayer

Salvation is free, but sustaining your walk with God requires commitment.
