The Trump administration plans to turn Alcatraz back into a prison

The Trump administration appears to still be interested in turning Alcatraz back into a working prison. A request for $152 million dollars for the project was tucked into a budget proposal according to Reuters. The East Bay’s Habitat for Humanity is helping get gently used household items into new hands.
