NASA's Artemis II mission has successfully launched four astronauts on a 10-day journey to the Moon, marking the first human spaceflight to lunar orbit in more than 50 years. The crew completed two Earth orbits before preparing for the translunar injection manoeuvre, which accelerates the spacecraft from 25,000 to 40,000 kilometres per hour to break Earth's orbit. Minor technical issues including a toilet malfunction and a Microsoft Outlook software problem were resolved during the early phase of the mission.
