Some of the most criticized retirement strategies are not bad strategies… they’re just misunderstood.
In this episode, I walk through several of the most commonly disliked financial strategies and explain when they may actually make sense within a well-structured plan.
I cover topics like annuities, Roth conversions, holding cash, paying off your mortgage before retirement, the 4 percent rule, spending flexibility, and delaying Social Security. These are all areas where I see strong opinions, but the real answer often depends on context.
This is not about promoting any one strategy. It is about understanding what problem each strategy is designed to solve, and when it may or may not fit into your overall plan.
Because the goal is not to chase popular opinions. The goal is to make intentional decisions that support your long-term financial life.
As always, the plan comes first.
Helping you to be wise with your money!
