Clare TD Calling For Concrete Block Appeals Board To Be Held Accountable

Clare's pyrite affected homeowners are said in severe distress over delayed remediation appeals. Currently 14 households in the county have lodged appeals concerning the amount of compensation they received under the Enhanced Defective Concrete Blocks Scheme. Bodyke Fine Gael TD Joe Cooney has expressed his concern in the Dáil surrounding the time frame in which people are waiting for responses , stating one household in particular are waiting almost 12 months. Junior Minister for Housing Chris O'Sullivan says the boards independence must be respected.
