#179 - A deeper dive on the USMNT roster

The United States Men’s National Team have two big friendlies coming up, first against Belgium on Saturday followed by a match against Portugal on Tuesday. We take a deep dive into the roster on Episode 179. The USMNT roster has 27 guys who get one final chance to leave an impression upon head coach Mauricio Pochettino and the coaching staff and hopefully have their name included on the 26-player World Cup roster. However, there will be some incredible competition in this camp. We hear from Mauricio Pochettino on why he opted to include Gio Reyna despite not having a lot of recent club minutes, and what it might mean for the guys who aren’t on the roster. We also discuss some of the exclusions from the roster and whether they might be on the outside looking in when the final World Cup roster is announced in May.
