Flooding cancels iconic Big Red Bash festival

The Birdsville Big Red Bash, an outback music festival on the edge of the Simpson Desert, has been cancelled due to flooding at the site. Organisers were unable to find an alternative location for the iconic event. The majority of this year's line-up have committed to perform at the 2027 festival, with ticket holders offered refunds, transfers to next year, or transfers to this year's Mundi Mundi Bash in Broken Hill.
