In this Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla for March 24, 2026, we meditate on Psalm 52:5–7 (ESV), “But God Will Break You Down Forever.” These verses confront the reality of God’s judgment on those who place their trust in wealth, power, or deceit rather than in Him. David vividly describes the end of the “mighty man” who boasted in evil, showing how temporary and fragile worldly security truly is.
This devotion challenges us to examine our own hearts. Where do we place our trust—our riches, accomplishments, or self-sufficiency—or in the Lord, our true refuge and salvation? While human confidence fails, God’s steadfast protection endures forever. The righteous witness God’s justice and are called to reverent fear, finding both comfort and encouragement in His faithfulness.
Turn from false refuge, embrace the security Christ provides, and rejoice in the Lord who remains constant and eternal.
