Holy Boldness! "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 When your heart kneels, your spirit stands taller. Holy boldness is humility wearing fearless shoes. So, wear yours, because we are called to embrace our inherent strength. Peter's encounter with the Sanhedrin in Acts 4 teaches us that with conviction comes courage. When boldly proclaiming our faith, we are tapping into divine strength, as illustrated in 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-discipline." Holy boldness is not loudness; it’s a whispered yes to God that echoes as courage in public. Remember, let your words kneel before they stand — speech that has prayed will not fear. Imagine standing in the midst of a roaring crowd, yet all you hear is your own voice — confident, clear, and unwavering. Just like Peter, who, filled with the Holy Spirit, faced authority with audacity, we are called to speak truth with fearless faith. In Acts 4:29-31, Peter said, "Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they met shook. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." Remember the African proverb: “A lion never loses sleep over the opinions of sheep.” This speaks to the essence of our calling. We must not allow the whispers of doubt or the murmurs of skepticism to silence our hearts. Instead, let us pray audaciously, for as Mark Batterson states, “Bold prayers honor God and God honors bold prayers.” Let your prayers be a reflection of your faith, expecting greatness as you seek God’s face. Amidst our lives, let’s take a moment to express one daring request to the Lord. What vision or dream burns within you that seems larger than life? Embrace it, knowing that God, who created the universe, is more than able to fulfill your prayer. Let your heart echo the fearless roar of righteousness, becoming a beacon of hope and inspiration to others around you. Amen. Proverbs 28:1 says, "The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion." Amen. Prayer for the day! Heavenly Father, grant us the courage to proclaim Your truth boldly and live with fearless hearts. May we embrace our God-given boldness, as Peter did, and take on the world with faith and conviction. Help us to roar as the righteous, inspired by Your unwavering love. In Jesus’ name, Amen. https://maglife.org
