How does school choice help children and foster a more efficient education system?


In this episode of the Napa Legal Podcast, Joseph Clement is joined by Allan Parker (from the Justice Foundation) to Texas' new school choice program and its implications for the rest of the country. They'll address common criticisms of school choice, how the Texas and United States' Constitutions protect educational freedom, and more!


Allan is the President of the Justice Foundation and a former professor of law at St. Mary's University where he taught education law and civil procedure. In 2000, he was designated a “Hero For Children”

by the Texas Board of Education. He is the author of numerous works on school choice and a frequent lecturer on education topics.


Allan received his J.D. degree with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1979. He was an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review, a Chancellor, Order of the Coif, and Order of Barristers for his outstanding advocacy skills. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Economics in 1974.
