Newer Tech to treat kidney stones

Anyone who has had them, yours truly included, knows just how disruptive and painful they can be. New York based surgeon Dr. Jared Winoker says using what is called the CVAC System from Calyxo can make getting rid of stones less of an ordeal for patients..

“What’s really wonderful about our new technology that’s on the market now is the CVAC Systems allows us to treat the stones in a very minimally invasive manner, no incisions, no pokes in the back. We’re able to effectively break up the stone, but what’s really special is we can actually, effectively vacuum out and suction out all those pieces that would otherwise be left behind and potentially cause a future problem for a patient.”
