Japanese festivals in Australia, a throwback to the matsuri in Sydney in 2006 - オーストラリアでの日本の祭り、シドニーの2006年を振り返る

In 2006, celebrations including the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Japan-Australia Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation led to a larger-scale Japanese festival being held in Sydney. We spoke to Kazuko Chalker and Yushiro Mizukoshi of the Japan Club of Sydney (JCS) about the event, which featured guests from Japan and approximately 300 children participating in Yosakoi Soran dances. - 2006年には日豪友好協力基本条約署名30周年などを祝い、シドニーでも規模を大きくした日本の祭りが行われました。日本からのゲストや、およそ300人の子どもが参加したよさこいソーランなど、当時の様子をシドニー日本クラブ（JCS）のチョーカー和子さんと水越有史郎さんに聞きました。
