A Prayer for Holy Audacity

Loving God,

You have always worked through unlikely people.

Through those who felt too old,

too weak,

too insignificant.

You placed a promise in Abram and Sarai.

You called Moses.

You strengthened Esther.

You steadied Nehemiah.

You formed disciples who would not turn back.

Do the same in us.

When we feel insignificant,

remind us that Your promise has never depended on status.

When we feel unprepared,

remind us that courage grows as we step forward.

When fear makes us hesitate,

remind us who we are.

When comfort tempts us to stay still,

call us forward again.

Give us holy audacity —

not to build our own name,

but to widen blessing.

Where life is burdened,

teach us to protect what is fragile

and strengthen what is weary.

Grow in us a faithfulness

that stays,

that serves,

that does not disappear.

And when the moment comes for our yes,

help us not delay.

Right where we are.

With what we have.

Starting now.

Amen.
