‘I am no genius, the legends planted seeds within me’: Sitarist Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan

Ustad Shujaat Husain Khan is one of the leading Indian classical musicians and sitar players. He is the seventh generation of the Imdad Khani Gharana, named after his great-grandfather Ustad Imdad Khan, a sitar and Surbahar player with an innovative 'gayaki ang' (singing style). Speaking with SBS Hindi, the son and disciple of the sitarist Ustad Vilayat Khan, Shujaat Khan, fondly reflects on learnings from maestros and about his favourite clothes.
