Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane dies at 53

Actor Eric Dane, best known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan 'McSteamy' on Grey's Anatomy, has died at age 53 after battling ALS (motor neuron disease). Diagnosed in April last year, Dane became a passionate advocate for ALS awareness and research funding. He spent his final days surrounded by his estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart and their two daughters, Billy and Georgia.
