בשנים האחרונות נתחדש חידוש מהפכני, שע"י כמות הכי קטנה, "אטום", ניתן לפעול ברגע כמימרא שינוי עיקרי, עד לשינוי שיפעל בכל העולם כולו! וזה יכול להעשות ע"י אדם אחד, אפי' "נער קטן", בלחיצת כפתור אחד! אלא כדי שיוכל להיות ענין הבחירה, קיימת אפשרות לנצל כח זה לדברים בלתי-רצויים ר"ל, ועל האדם להשתמש בשכלו ולהתבונן ולבחור לנצל כח עצום ונפלא זה לטובת העולם והאנושות. וההוראה: הרמב"ם [בשיעור היומי] פוסק במפורש "צריך כל אדם שיראה עצמו.. וכן כל העולם חציו זכאי כו', עשה מצוה אחת הרי הכריע את עצמו ואת כל העולם לכף זכות וגרם לו ולהם תשועה והצלה". עד עתה הי' זה בבחי' "אמונה" שזהו המציאות, אבל בימינו אלו רואים דבר זה במוחש: אדם אחד יכול בפעולה אחת לפעול שינוי בכל העולם כולו! ויה"ר שבקרוב ממש יקרה המאורע שיכריע את העולם כולו לכף זכות וכו'.

Synopsis

In recent years a revolutionary phenomenon has emerged: with a tiny quantity of matter (an atom) it is possible to fundamentally change the entire world in a single instant. And this can be accomplished by a single person, even a “young child,” with the push of a single button. But in order to preserve free choice, the possibility also exists to use this power for undesirable things, Rachmana litzlan, and a person must use his intellect and choose to utilize this tremendous and wondrous power for the good of the world and humanity. The lesson is as follows: The Rambam rules explicitly (in today’s shiur) that “A person must see himself...and likewise the entire world, as equally balanced…If he performs one mitzvah he tips his balance and that of the entire world to the side of merit and brings salvation and deliverance to himself and to them.” Until now, it had to be taken on faith that this is the reality. But nowadays we see tangibly how one person, with a single act, can change the entire world.
