A fossil hunting grandmother has unearthed part of a 120 million year old dinosaur claw on Victoria's Gippsland coast between Cape Patterson and Inverloch. The three-week dig has uncovered multiple prehistoric specimens including vertebrae, toes, claws from both plant-eating and meat-eating dinosaurs, turtle remains, and plant fossils from 125 million year old rocks. Museum Victoria and volunteer fossil hunters from the Dinosaur Dreaming team are excavating one of Australia's richest sources of dinosaur bones to build understanding of the region's prehistoric fauna and flora.
