After-school programs become day cares amidst SFUSD teachers' strike

A large crowd of striking San Francisco teachers gathered at Civic Center Plaza right outside City Hall to hold a rally on the first day of their first walkout in almost 50 years. It took nearly a month to get ready for the Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium around the surrounding area. With SFUSD schools closed because of the strike….the afterschool programs run by the city’s Rec and Parks department, have become all day programs.
